The year got off to a very exciting start for some members of our chair team. Danil Belikhov and Heather Kaths took part in this year's annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) in Washington, D.C.. The TRB is one of the leading organisations in the field of transport research and the annual conference offers a good platform for exchange between researchers from all areas of transport. Danil Belikhov was able to present his joint research with Guillermo Pérez Castro from the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) on ‘Assessing the Impact of Infrastructure on Bicycling Behaviour: Insights from an Instrumented Bicycling Study’ in the form of a poster presentation. Further information can be found here. Heather Kaths also gave a presentation on the results of the research project ‘Propagation of Density Across the Width of a Bicycle Path’. In addition, Danil Belikhov and Heather Kaths took part in many different exciting lectures and discussions and were able to gain new ideas and impressions.
