Acceptance of Exosuits in Everyday Mobility: A Survey-Based Study
Description
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to investigate the potential acceptance of wearable assistive systems (exosuits) in the context of everyday mobility. The central question is to what extent potential users are willing to use such technologies in their daily lives and which factors influence this willingness. As part of the thesis, the student will develop an online questionnaire to assess attitudes, perceived usefulness, potential concerns (e.g., safety, comfort, social acceptance), and sociodemographic characteristics. The collected data will subsequently be analyzed and interpreted.
The thesis includes:
- a literature review on exosuits, active mobility, and technology acceptance
- the design and development of an online questionnaire
- data collection (e.g., via online distribution)
- statistical analysis of the data (descriptive and inferential methods)
- reflection on the results with regard to the potentials and barriers of exosuit use in everyday life
