Leonard Arning presented some first results of his doctoral research regarding the modeling of e-bikes in macroscopic transport models.

At the 6th Annual Meeting of the Cycling Research Board (CRB) meeting in Amsterdam, October 5-7, 2022, the Chair of Bicycle Traffic was represented by Cat Silva and Leonard Arning. Leonard Arning presented some first results of his doctoral research regarding the modeling of e-bikes in macroscopic transport models. This presentation focused on the key results of a systematic literature review he conducted to highlight the current state of practice and research on e-bikes in transport models, as well as to synthesize key learnings for further research. The comments from the audience provided helpful feedback for what further factors to include in a planned research project on this topic.
