News about the ARROW Project
Early in May, we took our instrumented bicycles to Münster on their maiden ride for project ARROW. Riding along the promenade, we collected data to test our trajectory estimation methods and to gain more insights about how people cycle in groups, overtake each other, and how they position themselves at traffic lights. Using our sensor setup, we collected a bevy of signals, including high-precision RTK GNSS, 360-degree video, and speed and braking data.
With its high share of cyclists, Münster provided the perfect environment for us to study the flow of bicycles and other small things on wheels in dense conditions and their complex interactions.
Stay tuned for our next round of data collection, and how these real-world observations will translate into the simulated environments that will follow in ARROW.
