Team Hike and Birthday Party
On April 9, the team from the Chair of Bicycle Traffic met at 9 a.m. on Sambatrasse near the Burgholz restaurant to set out on a hike of about 20 km. Matthias Schaarwächter and Mathis Titgemeyer took charge of planning the event and led the team up and down through the Burgholz Arboretum. The planned coffee break at Café Podzelny in Cronenberg was quickly moved to Café Born due to the restaurant’s day off, and the detour was well worth it. The loop hike ended at the starting point, where the nice and sunny day concluded with food and drinks in the restaurant’s beer garden.
The team hike took place for the first time in 2021, the year the chair was founded. It has become a firm tradition and celebrated its fifth anniversary this year.
Heather Kaths took the chair’s fifth anniversary as an opportunity to invite the entire team, alumni, and their partners to her home on April 18. Over burgers, salads, desserts, and drinks, the reunion was celebrated, memories were shared, and everyone marveled together at how quickly time has passed…
