Heather Kaths and Danil Belikhov represented our chair at this year’s Universitätstagung Verkehrswesen in Meissen. Danil presented his doctoral research on how cyclists adjust their speed and switch between pedalling, coasting and braking. His work combines data from instrumented bicycles with behavioral and physics-based models to improve bicycle traffic simulation.

The conference offered a great opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss ongoing research, and connect with colleagues. Many thanks to the organisers and participants!
